CLIENT: Micolino Hotel
PURPOSE: Promote Positive Reviews
Micolino Hotel is a quaint, boutique hotel that repeatedly gets raving (and sometimes humorous) reviews from guests who enjoy their stay. Knowing the power reviews have online, they knew these reviews also had to be part of their marketing strategy. They carried out their vision by leveraging branded products (masks, pens, stationery & drinkware) and making sure the reviews were visible to anyone who entered their lobby or stayed in a guest room. As new reviews are posted, the hotel introduces updated designs to the collection.
As part of their standard staff uniforms, Micolino Hotel provides a variety of mask options for staff to choose from. With over 40,000 impressions anticipated over it’s lifetime, these branded masks are making a huge impact.
Micolino Hotel found that carrying over the “review” campaign through to custom pens that are in all guest rooms, as well as branded stationary was a cost effective and consistent way to spread their message.
Mugs with matching imprints were placed in guest rooms and the hotel breakfast area.
In many ways, people are the best form of advertising. Awareness can be spread in many forms, but the human element is what truly attracts an audience. Within hotel marketing promo products have been an effective way to creatively communicate with current customers and gain attention from an otherwise unsuspecting public. Connecting people and building a community is at the core of any advertising campaign. We all want to feel a sense of belonging to something greater in all aspects of our lives.
The hotel industry is a prime example of how something as seemingly mundane as finding a place to rest for the night can be transformed into something incredible by simply focusing on the customer experience. Promotional products are a brilliant way to connect with the guest while promoting your brand at the same time. It truly is the little things that elevate a hotel stay from average to extraordinary. Handing out small gifts at check-in as well as having an inventory of branded items to give to customers in the event they left an important item behind are both great examples of how a hotel can continue to communicate with customers long after they’ve left the lobby. Making every guest a brand ambassador transforms your hotel from a building into a gathering place. What better way to accomplish that than through sustainable items with your corporate name printed on them?
